CODE OF ETHICS

All members of the IASC are expected to adhere to our code of ethics. The president of the IASC reserves the right to revoke the IASC accreditation and membership status of any member who does not adhere stringently to our code of ethics. If you have any reason for complaint against one of our members, or have reason to believe that they have breached our code of ethics, please lodge a complaint in writing to us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
Style Coach™ Conduct:

I will conduct myself in a manner which can only enhance the profession of Style Coaching™ and the reputation of the Style Coaching™ brand. I will respect the accreditation I hold with the IASC and I understand that if I act in a manner which is damaging to the reputation of the Style Coaching™ brand or wellbeing of any member of the public, or fellow members of the IASC community, then my accreditation will be permanently revoked and I shall no longer be entitled to associate myself in any way with the International Association of Style Coaches™.

Confidentiality:

I will respect and remain faithful to confidentiality within my Style Coaching™ relationships. I will not divulge any of the content of my sessions with clients except in the following circumstances: as authorised by the client in writing, as required by law. I will only use my clients’ names as references after having received their written permission to do so. I will communicate the issue of confidentiality to all clients prior to engaging in any Style Coaching™ relationship.

Conflicts of Interests:

I will not abuse my membership of the IASC to benefit my personal or professional interests outside of my Style Coaching™ career. Furthermore, I will conduct myself in a manner which is in the very best interests of my clients and fellow members of the IASC, and which does not exploit our professional relationships in any way. I will not use the contact details of my fellow IASC members to engage in any unsolicited messaging of individuals not known to me personally.

Guarantees of Outcomes:

I will not claim or indicate any unreasonable or unrealistic outcomes of Style Coaching™ to clients, potential clients or the general public.

Advertising Standards:

I will ensure that any advertisements or promotional literature that I use in connection with my Style Coaching™ practice will comply with the relevant Advertising Standards Authority, are legal and reflect the truth in every respect. As a member of the IASC, I will never use hard-sell tactics or engage in any behaviour which is intended to manipulate or deceive members of the public or my fellow Style Coaches™.

Communication:

I will only use the IASC’s designation letters after my name as authorised by the IASC and while my accreditation is valid. If my accredited expires, or is revoked, then I will immediately discontinue all use of the IASC credentials and membership logos.

Client Benefit:

I recognise that at all times the needs of my client are paramount and in respect of this, if it becomes apparent that my client is not benefiting from the Style Coaching™ process, I will bring this to their attention.

Inappropriate selling / information:

I will not offer clients professional advice or information that I understand to be inaccurate or beyond my capability to judge or assess. I will also not attempt to sell third-party services or products to fellow IASC members. I understand that any attempt to entice IASC members into third-party business opportunities is strictly forbidden. I understand that promotional links may not be shared in the IASC Facebook or LinkedIn groups and I will not attempt to direct mail or cold call my fellow IASC members about services or products I wish to sell. I understand that any attempt to do so will constitute an abuse of my privileges as an IASC member.

Legal and Moral:

As a professional Style Coach™, I promise to fulfil my ethical and moral obligations to my clients and fellow IASC members, and I will at all times conduct myself in a manner which is both lawful, moral and ethical. I commit to a high standard of professionalism and shall conduct my business with integrity, honesty, and transparency.

Intellectual Property Rights:

I will, at all times, acknowledge and respect all intellectual property rights including copyrights, trademarks and all other work relating to the International Association of Style Coaches™ and the Style Coaching Institute® Ltd. I acknowledge and respect that ownership of the Style Coaching™ brand lies with the company directors.

Equality:

I will strive to be fair and objective in my advice and actions, and I will never influenced in my decisions, actions or recommendations by issues of gender, race, creed, colour, age or personal disability. I will treat all my clients, potential clients, and fellow Style Coaches™ with dignity and respect in all my methods of communication.
